Before there were portable
propane heaters, there were campfires to keep cowboys,
soldiers and campers warm and dry. One of our company’s
ancestors, Ray Paulin, invented the portable propane
heater/cooker in 1963. He was granted a United States Patent
on the product and improved the life of outdoorsmen across
the country. Today, Paulin Products produces a full line of
heaters that produce a variety of heat levels from safe,
clean-burning, easy to handle bottled propane fuel.
Our heaters have become a
necessary piece of equipment for hunters, fishermen,
campers, nature lovers and outdoorsmen of every category.
Our heaters have been up several faces of Mt. Everest, have
crossed the Atlantic Ocean in a balloon, have been carried
across the Arctic Circle and have saved several lives that
were put in jeopardy due to the worst possible winter storm
conditions.
Our line of gas lights and
accessories have helped light the way for the major
expansion of population across the United States, that
started at the very beginning of the 20th century. The gas
light has been produced since 1901 when one of its larger,
earlier models was used to light streets in western U.S.
towns. The lights are permanently installed in log cabins,
fishing cottages, hunting lodges, recreational vehicles and
remote residences. They produce light output equivalent to a
70 watt bulb.
Our lights and heaters are
tested for performance and safety before they leave the
plant. We have provided innovative improvements to the
products, such as electronic ignition systems, thermo couple
and safety shut-off valves and pre-adjusted air mixing and
pressure valves in the lights. In addition to the heaters
and gas lights, we manufacture the most complete line of
propane hose and brass fitting available in the industry.
Our corporate philosophy is
to manufacture and distribute high quality products that are
reliable, safe and backed by prompt friendly customer
service.
